Restrictions on account opening

EXANTE currently works with clients from all over the world except US citizens and residents, Japan, Iran, and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). There is also enhanced due diligence required for clients from Afghanistan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ethiopia, Iraq, Lao PDR, Syria, Uganda, Vanuatu, and Yemen.

EXANTE does charge overnight rates for short positions and FX, and the fees depend on the specific position and market conditions. Short selling is also available for certain liquid stocks, with a current default rate of 12% for easy-to-borrow stocks for all clients.

Additionally, the broker charges an inactivity fee (50 EUR) for accounts that have not traded for over six months, have no open positions, and have a balance of under 5,000EUR unless the account owner is an authorized trader or agent.

There are no margin-trading fees and leverage can be used freely (within bounds) as long as a trader keeps Margin Utilization under 100%.
